In 2000, Port City Diving was formed. Coach Parker started working on the team in 1998 by provided diving classes after school for both inner city and students from West Mobile.
Within one year, the program had developed enough to warrant a grant being written to replace the outdated and worn equipment. In December of 1999, the grant for $16,500 was awarded to Port City by the United States Diving Foundation.
Now, as a member of both United States Diving and the Amateur Athletic Union,
Port City Diving provides a variety of programs including high school, home school and specific skills training.
2008 - Port City Diving announces a new program at the University of West Florida, serving divers in and around the Pensacola area, including Navarre Beach and Ft. Walton Beach.
